I love Pandora Pine. This was my first book by her and I actually found it by accident but I'm so glad I did. I love the Student Bodies series. They are all shorter reads and I love that about them. I don't always have the time to spend several hours a day getting caught up in a story and these books definitely allow for me to spend some needed reading time without a several hour commitment in order to finish the book!In this story, we meet Xander and Asher. Xander is absolutely perfect for Asher but Asher is determined that he cannot and will not allow this to happen. I cried over the heartbreak these two men went through before the end of the story. This was a good, quick read and I highly recommend it if you are open minded enough to enjoy a May/December, Dom/Sub story between two loving men.

Nice start to this series.
This book was a pleasant surprise to me! I throughly enjoyed it! I really was rooting for college junior Xander Knight & his Becoming Byron professor Asher Flynn. I also laughed, cried & rejoiced while reading this book! It is a well written & exciting book! The gauntlet of emotions both of the characters went through were true to life & really went with the Byron poems that were quoted in the book! I really got lost from the first paragraph in the world Pandora Pine created for the readers of this book! I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is in the mood for a heartfelt & sweet book. I bought the next two books in the series I liked this one so much!
This one sometimes gets annoying and insulting to those of conflicting beliefs. It was just too hard to handle at times

I downloaded Like the Knight as a free novella from . First, this story line is not as described in the blurb. Second, it's a whole heck of a lot more. The author is not doing herself justice with the synopsis. This story has depth, intelligence, emotion, and a complexity which is a rare find in a novella. Skip the blurb, at no time did I get the impression Asher was "tired of young men playing submissive" -- this never came up, nor did any of the character development imply such a thing (people expecting more hardcore action may be the reason for the negative reviews). This story was about so much more. The blurb would have been more accurate to reference Xander's perspective "looking for a Dom worthy to serve." But don't mistake this for a fluffy romance, the depth of feeling and connection between the two men, truly make this a great short read. I was very impressed by the author- great job.
Ever since her stunning debut with Invisible Lover, Ms. Pine has been on my auto-buy list. With her new Student Bodies series, Ms. Pine does not disappoint. As with all her other wonderful works, Ms. Pine delivers sensual, sexy stories with romantic plots and lovable characters. Like the Knight is a terrific addition to her work.
Xander is smart, sweet, and sexy. He has a lot of love to give the right man who just happens to turn out to be his hot, hunky English Lit professor. While I fell in love with Xander from the beginning, I enjoyed reading about Asher's agonizing conflict. He's most definitely a man in love---with his student. His ethical conflict and the way he struggles was a highlight of the book for me.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Pandora Pine book without melt-my- hot sex, this time with D/s elements included. Pine does an amazing job with these scenes, showing only how hot two men in love and in lust can be.
Pick up a copy of Like the Knight today and be sure to pre-order the second in the Student Bodies series, In the Shade. I've already ordered mine!
